Several JTM  / BVGA / IAC volunteers are pledged to file RTIs to demand the basic suo-moto RTI disclosure at IIMA which is being evaded to cover up massive scandals.

Here is the text of a sample application as drafted by an outstanding RTI activist of India "Ambreesh" and the JTM Gorakhpur team.

Sir,

Subject: EXTRAORDINARY Application for information under RTI-ACT 2005 concerning IIM Ahmedabad filed in larger public interest of students and public at large pursuant to observations at para 35 and elsewhere in judgment dt 01.11.2012 of Hon'ble Supreme Court in CIVIL APPEAL NO. 7749 OF 2012 titled as "NCTE & Anr. versus Public Education Society & Ors.".

I would like to get information & relevant authentic documents in LARGER PUBLIC INTEREST from the original records of your Ministry/Department under Right to Information Act 2005 as I specify below, against payment of prescribed copying fees.

NB: I am seeking documents / records from your Ministry/Dept for verification as I have overwhelming evidence that the corresponding IIM-Ahmedabad ("IIM-A") records have been tampered or fabricated (over time), and hence the IIM-A has failed to upload these to IIM-A website as part of its section 4 RTI disclosure. Additionally, if any particular information is confirmed as not being in your records kindly transfer the same query to the concerned public authority which holds it or can access it.

1) Authenticated copy of IIM-A's Memorandum of Association (MoA) along with text of all amendments / modifications to said MoA(s) made from time to time.

2). Prior approvals, if any, from (a) State Government, and/or (b) Central Government for amendments/modifications to MoA(s) made from time to time. 
 
3). Authenticated copy of Each and every "Rule" of IIM-A along with all amendments / modifications to such Rule(s) made from time to time.

4). Prior approvals, if any, from (a) State Government and/or (b) Central Government for amendments/modifications to such Rule(s) made from time to time.

5) Authenticated copy of each and every "Regulation" of IIM-A along with all amendments / modifications to such Regulation made from time to time. 
 
6) Prior approvals, if any, from (a) State Government and/or (b) Central Government for amendments/modifications to Regulation(s) made from time to time.

7) Authenticated copy of each and every "Bye-Law" of IIM-A along with all amendments / modifications to such Bye-Law(s) made from time to time. 
 
8) Prior approvals, if any, from (a) State Government and/or (b) Central Government for amendments/modifications to Bye-Laws made from time to time.

9) Details of all affiliations, recognitions, registrations, approvals etc. of the IIM-A with any University in India, as exists on your records, with true copies if available.

10) True copy of recognition(s), approval(s) etc. for IIM-A's various PGP diplomas and certificates by the Competent Authority(s) or issued by your Ministry /Dept.

11) True copy of recognition, approval etc. for IIM-A's various Fellowship program diplomas and certificates by the Competent Authority(s) or issued by your Ministry /Dept.

12) True copies of information which is on record as "Basis" for numerous claims made on IIM-A's website that IIM-A conducts "MBA" and "doctoral" programs.

13)  True copy of all "equivalence" recognitions of IIM-A's diplomas, awards and fellowships to "degree" and "doctorates/Ph.D" for academic purposes.

14) Authenticated information, if the present IIM-A Director Prof. Ashish Nanda is a US national, or not, and if so the approvals of PMO, ACC etc.

15) True copy of IIM-A's current "Human Resources Policy Manual for Faculty", and "Handbook for Academic matters" or suchlike, along with all its approvals and date of coming into operation.

16) True copy of IIM-A's current "Human Resources Policy Manual Staff" or suchlike, along with all its approvals and date of coming into operation.

17) Copy of Shunglu Committee report (with annexures) of 2004 on IIMs.

18) True Copy of enquiry report(s) and their annexures, if any, in matter of "serious allegations of academic plagiarism" or suchlike in the year 2012 against following faculty of IIM-A, Dr.Ajay Pandey, Dr.Sebastian Morris, Dr.G Raghuram, Dr.Rekha Jain which was widely publicised in many reputed newspapers and websites but before they were elevated as Deans and Member of IIM-A Board of Governors.

19) Authenticated copy of all approvals, resolutions, minutes of meeting, delegations of powers etc. to enable Prof Ajay Pandey to simultaneously officiate / act as Director, Dean (Faculty), Dean (Academic affairs), Dean (Administration) etc of IIM-A with effect 1st.April.2013 or thereabouts.

I shall pay such additional prescribed fees as is demanded by the CPIO towards cost of information provided the CPIO provides the item-wise computation detailing the further fees. If any information exists in digitally signed electronic form, kindly indicate the same so I may choose to additionally access it in that form also.
